The bookstore at Sts Constantine and Helen is named after Saint Kosmas Aitolos new Hieromartyr and equal to the Apostles. Saint Kosmas Aitolos was born in Aitolia, Greece. He studied in Mt Athos and was tonsured a monk and later ordained a priest monk. In 1759, Saint Kosmas began traveling through Greece, the islands and Albania with the aim of educating poor people especially in rural areas. He traveled by foot, donkey and ship, and he established 250 schools, charities and rural churches. He had an intense desire in his heart for people everywhere to be educated so that they learn and understand the scriptures. He is commemorated August 24th.
