Choir Announcement for the

New Ecclesiastic Year

Once again after a relaxing summer break, our Choir is looking forward to a new Ecclesiastical year of inspiring chanting.
We are the Choir Ministry of Sts. Constantine and Helen Church which has a rich history that dates back to the 1930s.  In earlier times, the choir had upwards of 30 – 40 members consisting of men, women, and youth.  Sadly, many of those members have passed and we currently have 10 – 15 faithful, dedicated members who sing on Sundays and Holidays in 4-part harmony.
We are looking to grow and revive our choir by making an urgent appeal to our youth and anyone else in our community who would like to join us in glorifying God by chanting beautiful Byzantine hymns in our new, magnificent edifice.
The rewards are many, which include:

  1. Participating in the choir during liturgies, allows you to thank God through church music for all that He has reigned upon us through His many blessings.

  2. The feeling of exuberance that will envelope you while chanting the beautiful Byzantine hymns of our faith is indescribable.

  3. Lastly, there are personal health benefits to your lungs which perform a workout while absorbing beneficial oxygen.

You may think, “I’d like to join the choir, BUT I cannot because I do not know music or read Greek”.  These reasons should NOT keep anyone from joining as many of the current members do not read music and we also provide music with English phonetics for those who do not read or speak Greek.  After some rehearsals and repetition, you will see how easy it is to learn the music and blend with the choir in just a few Sundays.  We can also rehearse the music with you one-on-one to ensure you feel comfortable in participating with the choir.
To join, please see one of our current members or contact via email:
